Shop cleaning in Munich

Shop cleaning in Munich comes down to one thing above all: the shop is ready before the doors open. MilieuLux cleans the sales floor, the till area, the entrance and staff rooms within a window that ends before opening or starts after the tills close. Stock is never handled. Which zone is cleaned at which frequency is settled before the first visit.

On a retail floor the time window is the hardest constraint, and it does not end at opening time but a good half hour earlier. A freshly mopped covering has to be dry before the first shoes cross it, otherwise the moisture shows up as streaking along the main traffic lane. So we plan backwards from the moment the door opens and put time-consuming work – shelf plinths, edges, stockroom aisles – into the visits with the longer run-up.

The entrance decides the condition of everything behind it. A barrier matting zone only holds back a meaningful amount of dirt once it spans several paces; the usual two mats in the lobby do not manage that. In rain the rest travels on as moisture, and in winter as road salt, which leaves pale rims on natural stone and design flooring. Alkaline cleaner will not shift those rims – only an acidic product in a separate pass will.

What matters here

Stock and the till area

We do not handle stock, and the reason is product protection rather than convenience: an item that has been moved is quickly judged damaged, and afterwards nobody can establish who shifted it. Where something has stood for a long time and is then sold, a visible dust outline stays behind. It is the trace of the goods, not of a surface we skipped – a distinction that otherwise gets argued over at the end of the month.

The till area is touched more than anywhere else and is at the same time the most sensitive spot. We wipe card terminals and keypads with a barely damp cloth and never spray them directly: cleaner running into a housing seam means a broken device, and alcohol-based products lift the printing off membrane keys. Scanner glass gets a dry microfibre cloth and no abrasive, because every scratch adds reading time at the checkout.

Floors, washrooms, back areas

Floors age unevenly under public traffic. The lane from the entrance to the till carries many times the load of the edges, and grit carried in acts like sandpaper on the maintenance film. The edges go grey for the opposite reason: the mop keeps missing them by a fraction. We therefore divide the sales floor into zones with their own frequencies – which takes less time than treating everything alike and pushes the next deep clean further out.

Washrooms are costed separately. A customer WC behaves differently from the staff WC because it is used unsupervised and in bursts; it needs its own line in the plan, its own consumables and separate equipment. In the staff room and changing area we clean tables, locker exteriors, the sink and the floor, and in the stockroom only the clear aisles – pallets and roll cages are not moved by us.

What a working hour means

Billing is per person on site and per hour worked. Two people working three hours makes six working hours.

A worked example

Assuming: A shop with 90 m² of sales floor, a fitting room and a stockroom – daily before opening.

1 person × 2 hours = 2 working hours × €25

Travel costs, once per working day
€18
Total, final price
€68

A different property gives a different figure. The arithmetic stays the same.

We deliberately stay within our field. What we cannot carry out safely and properly, we decline in advance rather than promise.

Frequently asked questions

Do you clean before opening or after the tills close?

Both work. Before opening, our window ends with a buffer for drying; after closing, what matters most is when the alarm is armed. Access, keys and codes are agreed in writing before the first visit.

Do you empty shelves in order to clean them?

No. We wipe the clear areas in front of and beside the goods, along with edges and plinths. If a shelving unit is to be cleaned completely, we book a separate appointment for which your staff clear the shelves beforehand.

How many hours does a shop of our size need?

What counts is the linear metres of shelving, the number of tills, the floor covering, the size of the entrance area, whether there is a customer WC and how long the window is. With those details we can quote a time range. Billing is €25 per person and working hour, plus €18 per working day and job. No VAT is charged, in accordance with § 19 of the German VAT Act.

Can you also clean during opening hours?

For individual tasks yes, for floors only to a limited extent. Wet areas with customers about are a slip risk. We then work section by section, barely damp and with warning signs – though the entrance area remains the part best done before opening.

Is there a charge for viewing the shop beforehand?

Only if you book it separately with no job following from it; in that case it costs a flat €40. There is no minimum order value. For many retail units, photos of the entrance, the traffic lane and the till area plus the type of floor covering are enough.
