Law firm cleaning in Munich
Cleaning a law firm means, above all, working in rooms where other people’s documents lie open. MilieuLux therefore uses a settled team, named individually, whose members sign a confidentiality undertaking before their first visit. Which rooms may be entered and which stay locked is settled beforehand. Files, stacks of paper and screens remain untouched.
A law firm’s duty of confidentiality does not stop at the lawyers themselves. Under section 43e of the German Federal Lawyers’ Act, service providers with access to the premises must be bound to confidentiality in text form; comparable rules apply to tax advisers and notaries. In practice: the firm drafts the undertaking, every person we deploy signs it individually, and a stand-in signs before entering the premises for the first time – not afterwards.
Files are not moved. That applies to stacks on meeting tables just as much as to boxes in the corridor and to open registry shelving; we wipe up to the edge, not underneath. In rooms with paperwork lying out we work without a spray bottle, because the mist settles on paper and makes it cockle. File spines are dusted dry, top to bottom, and only where that has been commissioned.

What matters here
Three groups of rooms
Before the first appointment we work through the room list and sort it into three groups: freely accessible, only when accompanied, not at all. The server room, the archive and the strongroom usually end up in the third. Whoever holds the key for the second group is named alongside it. Waste is settled just as clearly: sealed confidential-waste and shredder containers stay closed, and only the marked paper and general waste bins are emptied.
Meeting room and timing
The meeting room is where a firm is judged, and at the same time the most delicate space. Veneered or oiled conference tables tolerate neither wet cloths nor all-purpose cleaner; water rings left by carafes need different treatment from fingerprints. We check table tops and glass doors in raking light, because streaks only show once the light falls flat across them. Seating is put back to the agreed state: number of chairs, alignment, where the carafes stand.
Appointments in a law firm rarely finish on time, which is why a fixed weekday at a fixed hour tends to fail. We work Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 20:00; where meetings often run into the evening, the early morning before the first client appointment is the more reliable slot. Whoever in the office releases or reschedules a visit is named once, rather than being hunted down again every week.

Frequently asked questions
How is confidentiality handled?
The firm provides the confidentiality undertaking in text form and each person signs it before their first visit. We keep a list of everyone deployed and report any change in advance, so that nobody stands in your rooms without having signed.
Is it always the same cleaner?
We staff law firms with a settled team, because every additional person needs their own undertaking, a briefing and a key arrangement. Holidays and illness are covered by named stand-ins who have signed the same undertaking and are announced beforehand.
Who disposes of the paper at the shredder?
That stays with you. We do not touch sealed security containers or the shredder sacks, even when they are overflowing. We empty the marked paper and general waste bins and let you know as soon as a confidential-waste container is full.
What drives the time needed in a law firm?
On the number of private offices and doors, on how much of the storage surface is occupied, and on the meeting rooms with delicate tables. Tell us the rooms, the floor coverings and the areas released to us, and you will get a time range. Billing is at €25 per person and working hour. No VAT is charged, in accordance with § 19 of the German VAT Act.
Can you reset the conference room between two meetings?
Yes, as a short extra visit: wipe the table, replace glasses and carafes, straighten the seating, empty the bin. That usually takes about fifteen minutes. We charge the hours actually worked at €25, plus €18 travel costs per working day and per job – not per person.
